Safeguarding in kids’ classes

Last updated: 4 October 2026

If a child is in danger now

Call 112. If you are worried about a child but it is not an emergency, you can contact the police on 114 or your local municipality (kommune), which handles reports of concern about children.

What parents can expect from a club

  • Coaches and helpers who work with children under 15 have a child certificate (børneattest), as Danish law requires of clubs.
  • A coach is on the mat whenever children train, and partners are matched by size, age and experience.
  • Children are taught to tap early and to let go as soon as their partner taps. Rough play is stopped straight away.
  • Physical contact is limited to what the technique needs, and coaches explain and ask before they adjust a child’s position.
  • Changing rooms and toilets are private. Adults do not photograph or film children without the parent’s permission.
  • Coaches contact children through their parents, not through private messages.

Raising a concern

If something worries you, for you or your child, tell the club. In the BrawlSociety app, open Club & account and choose Report a concern. It goes only to the club’s owners and admins. You can send it anonymously: then neither the club nor BrawlSociety keeps a record of who sent it. A named report lets the club follow up with you.

A concern about the club’s owner or management can also go to the club’s sports federation or, for a child’s safety, to the municipality.

For clubs

Name one adult as the club’s contact for safeguarding, read every concern promptly and record what you did in the Concerns inbox in Studio. Reports stay with the club even if the person who sent them later deletes their account; their name is then removed.
